Newborn Diapers old

Fact is many one size diapers will not work on a newborn because they just don't go small enough.    What alot of parents do is set themselves up with a newborn stash of diapers.  While this does seem expensive, believe me if you were to use disposables in the first few weeks of life, you would likely spend more on them than the newborn cloth diaper set.  Newborns, especially those who are exclusively breastfed, poop alot, and they need to be changed around 10 times a day (including a few times at night).  So that is alot of disposable changes. 

So a newborn stash consists of diapers made specifically for that size of baby.  They will generally fit from the 4-6 pound range to around 10-12 pounds depending on the brand.  Because they don't use the diapers for long, your diapers will still be in good condition when you are done, and you could use them again on another infant, or you could sell them used and recoup some of your costs, or donate them.
