Otter Blotters

Introducing a new diaper system called Otter Blotters™. This is a cute and practical system that is Mom-invented and made by a group of women in southwest Virginia.

This is an AI2 cover and snap-in insert system. The cover is extremely versatile and can be used with other fitted diapers or it can be used with its own snap-in inserts.

The Otter Blotters™ cover is unique because the hook tape is enclosed in the front pocket. This means there is no scratchy hook to rub against sensitive skin and no exposed hook to snag in the wash or against your clothing when you hold your baby.

Cover features include:

• Patent-pending Lock-It Pocket™ to keep scratchy hook tape away from sensitive skin and busy little fingers.
• Patent-pending leak resistant seams,
• Soft outer layer of minkee and a waterproof inner layer of PUL.
• No laundry tabs because the unique tab design means there is no exposed hook tape.
• Leg gussets to contain messes.

This cover can be worn over a fitted, prefold, flat or contour diaper. The cover is trim-fitting and fit best over trim-fitting diapers. You may wish to go up one size to ensure a good fit over bulky diapers or to allow doubling at night. Purchase specially made snap-in inserts from here that snap into the cover.

Sizing

Please choose a size for your baby based on their weight and rise measurements. A young baby that is heavy for his age will often still need a smaller diaper than an older baby the same weight. An older baby at an "overlap weight," such as 25 lbs, may comfortably fit into several sizes, in this case, medium, large, and extra large. Covers may shrink around 5% after washing.

The covers are designed to be trim-fitting, which means the front panel should fit below the belly button. A round baby belly will actually hang out over the cover--that way there won't be gaps or tight elastic around the belly and back.

Small-Newborn (6-12 lbs) - 13.75" rise - fits up to 12" rise on baby.
Small-Infant (10-18 lbs) - 15.5" rise - fits up to 13.5" rise on baby.
Medium (15-25 lbs) - 17" rise - fits up to 15.5" rise on baby.
Large (20-30 lbs) - 18" rise - fits up to 16.5" rise on baby.
Extra Large (25 lbs up) - 19.25" rise - fits up to 18" rise on baby.

Washing and Care Tip: As this cover does not have any exposed velcro it will not snag on anything in the wash, however, other velcro items will snag on it. So I wash my covers in with my son's clothes rather than with other diapers that have velcro.
