I found MaggiePie Creations via a link posted to one of my groups when someone was asking for a place for good knitted hats for boys for this winter. I fell in love with Melodie’s creations immediately and said I wonder if she could do a dragon hat. The person who posted the link, said she was a friend of hers, and she bet she could, just ask. So I asked. And look what she came up with. I had my hat within a couple of weeks of asking that first question about if she could make such a hat. It didn’t take us long to nail out the details of what I wanted. She knitted it up, and even with shipping from Canada, I had my hat very quickly.

Check out her site, because she has quite a few photos of what she can make, and if you have something in mind, strike up a conversation with her, because she was very willing to take up the challenge of a dragon hat with me.

And am I satisfied with the end result? Oh wow are we! It exceded my expectations. This is a beautifully hand crafted hat. I told her my son would be nearly 2 when he would recieve it for Christmas, and while it fits him now, it has give in it so I know its going to fit him at least two winters.

Here are a couple of photos of Braden wearing it. I hope to get better ones. Sometimes getting that little boy to stand still enough for a photo when alone with him is a challenge :)
